A Straight Cart Taken To Heart!

The cat was out and about and I made it out of the grocery store without a shout. But that was too good to be true. A nut still found me at my zoo. Seems to be the way each and every day.

Threw things in the car,
Didn't have to go far.
But had to use a cart.
Used my sleeves to touch the nasty part.

Those huge gallon jars of water aren't light.
Need the germy cart at my site.
That and 50 pounds of kitty litter,
Carrying those would make me bitter.

Anyway, where was I?
Oh yes, I caught ones eye.
A cranky old fart.
Who loved a straight cart.

I shoved mine in,
Off I was ready to spin.
It was in there,
With room to spare.

But nope, that was wrong,
As she said her song.
It shouldn't go in like that.
Nope, not where she is at.

She straightened it for all.
Straightened the shopping cart stall.
Made their job easier she said.
I just shrugged and nodded my head.

Then I was so bad.
I made her mad.
I didn't straighten mine.
It did not align.

Oh no, the world is over.
Call a butt sniffing rover.
The carts weren't straight.
Not even my OCD can relate.

I just drove away,
As she had her say.
Yep, told all of my crooked cart,
That I didn't take to heart.

Wasted her time,
With a chime,
To whoever would hear.
Maybe she has a crooked cart fear?

Ever get nuts like that? Do you put them in all nice and neat where you shop at? Pfffft if there is space they get shoved in. If no space, I shove them together in the shopping cart bin. Easy as can be. Cranky old people can bite me. And there was some shopping cart sass. I guess you never know what shall come from my little rhyming ass.

Experience spring, have a fling.

  1. I hate when the shopping carts get stuck together and I can't pull them apart. They probably get that way from people like that lady, making them super straight. ;)

  4. At least you put yours in the stall. Real jerks leave them in parking spaces. Even when the stall is ten feet away.

    2. Oh, to this I agree and then on a windy day those carts take flight playing bumper cars
      leaving their mark.

  5. Shove the carts in any old way
In a windstorm there they stay
Carts left in a lot go on a banging spree
Hit car after car, maybe damage two or three

  7. I always put the cart in the stall, but I just sort of give it a push, I don't care if they align as long as a cart doesn't hit me from behind...haha...

  9. Haha, Pat! People get bent out of shape over the silliest things! I try to be thoughtful in most things I do, but a grumpy person like that would bring out my bad side too. I will be computerless in an hour. Will be back when I have my computer. Take care!

  10. I'm just happy people put them away
instead of leaving them all through the parking lot
it makes a big mess when they do it that way
and I pity the person who has to gather them up, especially if its hot

  11. As OCD as I can be, even I don't worry about straight grocery cart lines. As long as carts are put into a stall and not floating about the lot, it's all good. (now about that busted kitty litter bag that left a trail all over the store...)

    1. haha I've seen a few such bags do that
Yep, straight carts don't bother the cat

  14. I really hate it when people don't push carts IN as far as they will go. Makes such a lot of work for those who later collect them. I try not to think of the germiness of carts, though if I thought about it enough I would go a bit crazy. But I doubt they are as germ-filled as the remotes in a hotel. Ewwwww!

    1. Yeah, shove them in good and then go

  16. Often, when I shop at Costco and I don't usually run into grocery packing problems as they have very large reusable bags that we use. Also, I don't ever take my cat shopping.

  20. As long as I get it in the corral, I don't care if it's straight or not. They should be happy I didn't just leave it in the parking lot all willy nilly.
